CamTrack Recording steps
Hello and Welcome to the CamTrackAR guide!
Please make sure to read through Steps 1 to 8 before recording your video.
This is to ensure your performance is in perfect shape before sending the files over for background replacement.
If you have any questions, please make sure to email me at hello@lhmediaproductions.ca
Step 1
Download “CamTrackAR” App from the App Store
It’s Free :)
In preparation for your video shoot, make sure to wear clothes or choose an room/space where you or your subject will not easily blend in with the background. For example white shoes on a white floor will make it tough for the AI to differentiate between you and the environment.
Step 2
Open the app and give it a few seconds to start.
Then scan the entire room with your phone and make sure the walls and ground have a grid pattern drawn on top verifying that the walls/floors are scanned.
Step 3
Point the camera to the ground. When you see the green four squares matching the ground ,click the two red circled buttons on the bottom left to anchor the ground.
Step 4
Once ground is anchored, you will see the ground grid turn yellow and have the blue, green, red icon show up.
Step 5
Make sure that the top left icon is green showing “World Tracking Good”
Make sure the icons “HD” and “60” (or “30”) are showing on the top middle area. For dance I would recommend 60.
Make sure that the top left “3D” icon is yellow.
Once everything is checked and ready, press the right square red button to begin recording.
Step 6
Once recording is complete, here is how to review the footage.
Go to the “Files” app on your phone.
Go to the home page and select “On My iPhone”
Select “CamTrackAR” folder
Step 7
Select the latest dated and timestamped folder and review the video file inside to confirm the recording is good! If you need to record another take, please repeat Step 1 :)
Step 8
Once you have the recording you like.
Select and hold the folder in the “Files App” and choose “Compress” to make a zip file.
Then reach out to me and I will provide a Onedrive link to upload the file and I will begin on the AI background imaging work!
Thanks~!
